The 9th Convocation Ceremony marks the proud culmination of your academic journey — a day when your dedication, perseverance, and dreams take center stage. This is your moment to shine, to walk with confidence in the company of your peers, mentors, and dignitaries who have shaped your path. To ensure a dignified and seamless ceremony, all degree recipients must follow the schedule below carefully.

Attendance at the Convocation Ceremony (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) is the highlight of your graduation — don’t miss it!

Detailed Schedule 09:00 AM

* University opens; all classes suspended for the day.
* Reporting and registration begin for all UG/PG degree recipients at designated School-wise venues as per Table-1.
* Chancellor’s Gold Medalists, Ph.D. Awardees, and Dr. A.K. Gadpayle Award winners must report to CDOE – Conference Hall, 1st Floor, Block–45 during 9:00 – 10:00 AM.
* Collection of sashes, food coupons, and registration slips as per Table-1. For purchase of Indian Attire, refer Table-2.
* Dress Code: Indian ethnic attire
* For Boys: White Kurta and White Pyjama
* For Girls: White Kurta Pyjama or White Saree with Golden Border

Reporting Deadline: 10:00 AM Sharp

* All degree recipients must complete registration between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
* After 10:00 AM, the registration desks will be closed, and no late entries will be entertained.
* Faculty and staff handling registration must ensure strict adherence to timing.

10:30 AM – 1:00 PM | Main Convocation Ceremony

Venue: Anand Swaroop Auditorium, 4th Floor, Block–45
* Entry for Academic Procession Members through front gates; Faculty, Staff, and Degree Recipients through back gates.
* Ceremonial Procession, Conferring of Degrees, Honorary Doctorate, and Presentation of Awards.
* All UG and PG degree recipients are invited to attend the main ceremony — entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
* Reserved seating for Ph.D. Awardees, Medal Winners, and Special Invitees.
* Additional live streaming arrangements in SMS&R Auditorium and APJ Auditorium.

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Lunch Break (refer Table-3)

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM | School-wise Degree Distribution

* Apart from Degree distribution, the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medals for Bachelor’s degree recipients will be conferred and Certificate of Merit will be distributed.

PARKING PLAN

To ensure the smooth flow of traffic and parking on October 8, 2023, slated for Convocation Ceremony, the Security department will manage vehicle movement. It is essential that everyone cooperates to maintain seamless campus movement, with all vehicles parked exclusively in the Multilevel Car Parking (MLCP) facility. This arrangement aims to provide convenient parking space for employees, graduating students and their parents.

The entire ceremony will take place in two sessions:

At Anand Swaroop Auditorium from 11:00 am to 01:00 pm.
In various auditoriums across Blocks 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, SDS, and SMSR starting at 2:00pm.

Here are the key guidelines for parking:

Vehicular movement for staff residing on the campus will continue, with no parking on the road. Gate No. 03 will be closed from 09:30 am to 02:00 pm, and entry should be made through Gate No. 04.
Parking of vehicles in designated spaces as indicated by Security staff in front of Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 21.
Other employees and hostel residents are only allowed to park in the Multilevel Car Parking (MLCP) facility.
No parking will be allowed between Gate No. 02 and SMSR or between SMSR and the entry to the hospital under the over bridge. Sharda Hospital's Security Officer will arrange to restrict parking in those areas.
All two-wheelers will be parked on the ground floor outside the MLCP and behind Mandela Girls hostel.
No parking on the road axis from Gate 3 to Block 3, in front of New Staff Quarters, near Building No. 45, and from Amul Point to the Temple complex.
Special parking arrangements are made for students attending the convocation, extending from the culvert T Junction to Gate 4 and beyond, including the MLCP.
Hired buses are not allowed inside the campus and must park outside Gate No. 05, facilitating the road behind the AC Plant near Jawahar Hostel.
University light motor vehicles will be parked on the AC plant road by the Transport department.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to carpool on the day of the Convocation.
Heavy Motor Vehicles' entry/exit from Gate-4 will be restricted from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm.
Estate/Procurement/Store/RSPL should inform vendors that no vehicles will be allowed entry during the specified Convocation hours.
Security staff will ensure the smooth flow of traffic on all approach roads, especially ensuring that auto-rickshaws and hawkers do not congest the road from Gate-2 to Gate-3 and beyond to the T junction of the University’s boundary.
